Sun Pharma USA Markets Generic Imitrex(R) Tablets
Sun Pharma USA has launched sumatriptan succinate tablets on behalf of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Sun Pharma), immediately following Sun Pharma's recently received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for generic Imitrex tablets. These sumatriptan succinate tablets, 25 mg (base), 50 mg (base) and 100 mg (base) are therapeutically equivalent to Imitrex tablets from GlaxoSmithKline. Sumatriptan succinate tablets are indicated for the acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in adults.
